Authenticated code execution via unchecked request parameters
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1202 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted request. The formSetClientState handler accepts deviceId, limitSpeed, and limitSpeedUp without length checks, overflowing a fixed-size stack buffer. A valid low-privilege management session is required; exploitation can crash the router or corrupt execution control in its HTTP service.
