CVE-2024-29824Known exploitationPublic exploit

Unauthenticated code execution via RecordGoodApp SQL injection

Published May 31, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

SQL injection in Ivanti Endpoint Manager 2022 SU5 and earlier allows remote attackers on the same network to execute arbitrary code. The RecordGoodApp method in PatchBiz.dll inserts the attacker-controlled goodApp.md5 string into an SQL query with string.Format instead of parameterization. An unauthenticated request to the WSStatusEvents EventHandler web service can invoke xp_cmdshell and run code as the database service account.
