Editor-level stored XSS via unsanitized settings
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in WPFront Notification Bar 3.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The plugin saves settings without sufficient input sanitization and later renders them without sufficient output escaping. Editor-level access is required, and injected scripts execute when another user opens the affected page; only multisite sites or sites with unfiltered_html disabled are exposed.
