Script execution via unescaped thumb_url reflection
Published Mar 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in 10Web Photo Gallery 1.0.1 through 1.8.21 allows attackers to execute script in an authenticated user's browser. The editimage_bwg AJAX action embeds the unescaped thumb_url parameter inside existing JavaScript returned by admin-ajax.php. Exploitation requires inducing a logged-in user with gallery-editing permission to open a crafted request, enabling script to read browser data or act with that user's privileges.
