Remote code execution via unchecked SSID length
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1202 1.2.0.14(408) allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted SSID. The form_fast_setting_wifi_set function places an unchecked ssid value into a fixed-size stack buffer at /goform/fast_setting_wifi_set. The password-protected management interface is the gate; exploitation can execute code or crash the router's web service.
