Authenticated cross-site scripting via unsanitized image URL
Published Mar 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Photo Gallery by 10Web 1.0.1 through 1.8.21 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via image_url. The editimage_bwg AJAX handler embeds image_url directly inside JavaScript in its admin-ajax.php response without neutralizing script content. Exploitation requires a targeted user who is logged in and authorized for the image-editing component to follow a crafted request, exposing that browser session to attacker-controlled actions.
