Authenticated code execution via unchecked PPPOEPassword processing
Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda F1203 and FH1203 2.0.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via PPPOEPassword. The /goform/QuickIndex formQuickIndex handler processes an oversized PPPOEPassword value without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. A low-privilege network session is required; successful corruption can crash the service or take control of its execution.
