Permission bypass in Google Android's Companion component allows local users to escalate privileges through allowlisted debug certificates. The private Companion implementation accepts debug signing certificates on an allowlist that grants permissions unavailable to ordinary code. A low-privileged local user needs no interaction from another user; Google has not published the affected code path or exact privilege boundary.
