CVE-2024-29742

Local memory disclosure via unchecked DVFS constraint

Published Apr 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 6, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in ACPM dvfs.c in Google Android kernel allows local users to disclose memory through a malformed frequency constraint. The apply_minlock_constraint function reads referenced data without first performing the required bounds check. Exploitation requires local low-privilege execution on an affected Pixel device, needs no user interaction, and exposes memory without granting code execution or modification.
