CVE-2024-29739

Local information disclosure via unchecked temperature lookup access

Published Apr 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Google Android's ACPM kernel component allows local users to disclose information without user interaction. The tmu_get_temp_lut function in tmu.c reads beyond a temperature lookup table because it performs the access without the required bounds check. A low-privileged local process must reach the affected Pixel ACPM code; the published impact is limited to disclosure, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
