CVE-2024-29720Public exploit

Local information disclosure via unsound asset pointer cast

Published Dec 26, 2025 · Updated Dec 26, 2025

Information disclosure in Terra Informatica Sciter 4.4.7.0 allows local users to read sensitive process memory through video asset adoption. The Rust binding's video::AssetPtr::get casts an arbitrary raw pointer to iasset and dereferences eight bytes even when T occupies fewer bytes, causing an out-of-bounds read. Local users must supply an undersized T to AssetPtr::adopt; the published reproduction uses u8 and exposes adjacent memory without altering data or interrupting the service.
