Plugin settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Mar 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in tsina News Wall 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify plugin settings and news lists. The nwap_newslist_page() function accepts state-changing requests without correctly validating a WordPress nonce, allowing forged input to alter its configuration. Exploitation requires no account but does require a site administrator to follow a crafted link; the result is limited to plugin settings and news-list integrity.
