CVE-2024-2967Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unsanitized form settings

Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in WP Front User Submit / Front Editor 4.4.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via form settings. The form-settings path accepts and stores administrator-supplied markup without adequate sanitization, then outputs it on pages without escaping; no public source names the responsible function. Exploitation requires administrator-level access and either WordPress multisite or disabled unfiltered_html, and injected scripts run whenever a user visits an affected page.
