RSS link manipulation via unvalidated Host header
Published Apr 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Host header injection in Croogo 3.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter links in RSS responses via crafted requests. The feed.rss component uses the unvalidated HTTP Host header to construct the response's link element, reflecting an attacker-selected domain. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is manipulation of generated RSS links rather than service interruption.
