Stored script execution via unsanitized post settings
Published May 22, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in LuckyWP Table of Contents 2.1.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into WordPress pages. PostSettings::save stores multiple post-setting parameters without sufficient sanitization, and page generation outputs the stored values without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor access is sufficient; the scripts execute in a visitor's browser when the affected page is opened, enabling actions within that visitor's WordPress session.
