Arbitrary file reads via accepted UNC paths
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Path traversal in Inteset Secure Lockdown Multi Application Edition 2.00.219 allows local users to read arbitrary accessible files. The locked-down Edge browser blocks file URLs but accepts UNC paths such as \127.0.0.1\C$, exposing the local filesystem through the administrative share. Exploitation requires browser access from the kiosk session and is limited to files readable by the Windows account running Secure Lockdown.
