Privilege escalation via arbitrary file removal
Published Dec 3, 2024 · Updated Dec 13, 2024
Command injection in Razer Synapse 3 3.9.131.20813 and Synapse 3 App 20240213 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The Profiles component trusts the Chroma Effects export parameter and uses it to remove an attacker-selected file or folder without constraining the path. Low-privileged local access is required; the demonstrated deletion primitive supports privilege escalation and code execution.
