CVE-2024-29399Public exploit

Code execution via unrestricted file upload

Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in GNU Savane 3.13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to store executable web content. The /register/upload.php endpoint accepts dangerous file types and publishes a link to the uploaded content without validating the file type. Documented server settings expose stored XSS; server-side code execution and privilege escalation require a web server misconfigured to execute the uploaded file.
