SQL injection via item expense field
Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
SQL injection in PHPGurukul Daily Expense Tracker System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL through the item field. The add-expense.php handler treats the POST item value as SQL syntax, allowing a nested SLEEP query to control the database response time. No account or user interaction is required; successful use exposes or alters backend data and consumes database processing time.
