User-assisted code execution via formula injection
Published Apr 4, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
CSV injection in Addactis IBNRS 3.10.3.107 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted .ibnrs project. IBNRS stores formula-leading values from Project Description, Identifiers, Custom Triangle Name, and Yield Curve Name without neutralization, so Excel interprets them as formulas during export. A recipient must load the malicious project through the Excel add-in and approve the operating-system command before code runs.
