CVE-2024-29366Public exploit

Unauthenticated command execution via unfiltered HTTP header

Published Mar 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

OS command injection in cgibin in D-Link DIR-845L firmware 1.01KRb03 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands via HTTP headers. The ssdpcgi_main function reads HTTP_ST from the environment and passes it through lxmldbc_system directly to system() without filtering. An unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network can run commands with the router service's privileges, enabling full appliance compromise or interruption.
