Stored script execution via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Jul 5, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025
Stored XSS in Volmarg Personal Management System 1.4.64 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through SVG uploads. The Images module accepts an SVG containing a script element and serves the uploaded file without neutralizing its active content. Low-privileged upload access is required, and the script runs in another user's browser only when that user opens the stored image in a new tab, exposing that browser session's data and actions.
