Authenticated group-data disclosure via premature list loading
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Access control failure in NodeBB before 3.6.7 allows remote authenticated users to view restricted pending and invited group lists. Groups.get loaded pending and invited users into group data before checking whether the requester owned or administered the group. A low-privileged account is required, and the documented behavior exposes restricted membership data rather than granting administrator privileges.
