Authenticated command execution via CGI parameter injection
Published Nov 20, 2024 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
OS command injection in Kasda LinkSmart KW6512 firmware 1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands. The internet.cgi handler incorporates Quick Setup and Internet page parameters into operating-system commands without neutralizing command metacharacters. Administrative interface authentication is required; successful injection runs attacker-chosen commands with the CGI process's privileges on the router.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
