Stored script execution via message title
Published Mar 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in funboot 1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The message-creation flow accepts and stores script content in the title field, and the Sent view renders that value as executable markup. An authenticated account must create the message and a victim must open Sent; the script then runs in the victim's funboot origin and can read accessible session data.
