Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Mar 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in givanz VvvebJs before 1.7.5 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted save.php request. The handler passes the POST file value to sanitizeFileName with extension enforcement disabled, then writes attacker-controlled content to that path. No authentication or user interaction is required; a PHP filename and PHP content create a server-executable script with web-server privileges.
