Authenticated service interruption via LayoutSave authorization failure
Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2025
Missing authorization in Synology Surveillance Station before 9.2.0-11289 and 9.2.0-9289 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The LayoutSave webapi component fails to enforce an authorization check, but Synology has not published the request fields or operation that trigger the condition. A valid account and network access to the web API are required, and the reported consequence is limited denial of service rather than data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
