CVE-2024-29231Network attack vector

Authenticated data exposure and interruption via array index

Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2025

Improper array-index validation in Synology Surveillance Station allows remote authenticated users to expose non-sensitive data or interrupt service. The UserPrivilege.Enum web API component fails to validate an array index, but Synology has not disclosed the affected operation or request parameter. The issue requires authenticated network access and affects builds before 9.2.0-9289 and 9.2.0-11289; reported effects are limited to non-sensitive information exposure and limited denial of service.
