Local privilege escalation via uncontrolled search path

Uncontrolled search path in Intel QuickAssist Technology software before 2.2.0 allows local users to escalate privileges via local access. Intel identifies an attacker-writable element in a fixed resource search path but does not disclose the affected executable, library, or loading call. An authenticated local user must place a crafted resource where the privileged software searches and induce the vulnerable loading action; success executes attacker-controlled code with elevated privileges.
