Code execution via crafted-file out-of-bounds write
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in KEYENCE KV STUDIO 11.64 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a crafted file. The flaw also affects KV REPLAY VIEWER 2.64 and earlier and VT5-WX15/WX12 6.02 and earlier, but KEYENCE has not disclosed the file format, parsing routine, or unchecked write operation. Exploitation requires local user interaction; successful memory corruption permits information disclosure or arbitrary code execution in the affected application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
