Browser script execution via unsanitized src parameter
Published Apr 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
DOM-based XSS in AlexxIT go2rtc 1.8.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted link. The links.html script inserts the src query parameter into the links element through innerHTML without neutralizing HTML metacharacters. A user must open the crafted URL; injected script runs in the go2rtc origin and can read or alter data available to that browser context.
