OS command injection in FreeScout before 1.8.128 allows remote attackers with the App_Key to execute commands through tools.php. The endpoint passes the php_path parameter to shell_exec without validation, allowing shell metacharacters to change the intended command. Possession of the application secret is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the web application's privileges and can read or alter server data or interrupt service.
