Author data disclosure via relation selector
Published Jun 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Authorization bypass in Strapi before 4.19.1 allows remote authenticated users with the Author role to read protected related records. Content-Type Builder failed to reject a component name whose derived backing-collection name duplicated an existing component collection, and the Admin relation selector consequently returned records outside creator-scoped permissions. Exploitation requires configured related private collections and an Author account; the bounded impact is disclosure of another creator's relation records.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
