Incorrect authorization in Samsung Exynos Modem 5123 and 5300 allows remote attackers to downgrade LTE connections and repeatedly disrupt service. The modem accepts LTE Non-Access Stratum messages without the required authorization checks, causing fallback to lower network generations and repeated denial-of-service conditions. A remote attacker must deliver unauthorized LTE NAS signaling to an affected modem; published material does not identify the exact message type or required network position.
