CVE-2024-29150Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Protected file disclosure via symlink-following debug archive

Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Improper privilege management in Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise ALE DeskPhones firmware allows remote authenticated users to read protected files. The root-privileged Maintenance/Debug/Get logs process follows admin-created symbolic links in writable /data/core and copies their targets into its archive. An admin session through SSH or USB UART, physical USB storage, and UI access are required; exposed data includes the device certificate and private key.
