Stored script execution via unsanitized input
Published Mar 19, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Ajay D'Souza Better Search 3.3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts that run when a user opens a poisoned page. The public advisory identifies an unknown input parameter that receives insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, but it does not name the code locus. No authentication is required to store the payload, but execution requires a user to access an injected page, where the script runs in the site's browser origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
