Authenticated command execution via unsanitized VPN parameters
Published Mar 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
OS command injection in Ruijie Networks RG-EG350 20240318 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a VPN request. The vpnAction function in /itbox_pi/vpn_quickset_service.php passes the ip, port, user, pass, dns, or startIp POST value to an operating-system command without effective neutralization. Low-privileged access to the web management interface is required, and injected commands can read or alter device data and interrupt gateway services.
