CVE-2024-29082Network attack vector

Unauthenticated factory reset via unprotected goform endpoints

Published Aug 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024

Improper access control in VONETS WiFi bridge firmware 3.3.23.6.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to factory-reset devices. The web interface exposes factory-reset goform endpoints without enforcing authentication before executing the reset operation. Network access to the management interface is sufficient, and a successful request erases configuration and interrupts device service.
