Settings disclosure and modification via active debug endpoint
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Active debug code in SoftBank Mesh Wi-Fi router RP562B 1.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read or alter settings. The active /data/activation.json endpoint processes GET and POST operations that reveal Wi-Fi credentials or replace the SSID and password. Exploitation requires authentication and access to the same Wi-Fi network; the consequence is limited to device configuration disclosure or modification.
