CVE-2024-29031Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Sensitive data disclosure via unsanitized SQL ordering

Published Mar 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2024

SQL injection in Meshery before 0.7.17 allows remote attackers to read sensitive data through the GetMeshSyncResources order parameter. The handler passes the untrusted order value directly to GORM's Order method, which appends it to an SQLite query without an allowlist or neutralization. No product account privileges are required, and exploitation can expose stored session cookies and Kubernetes configuration; stacked queries can also modify records or write files.
