Browser script execution via malicious Analyzer URL
Published Jun 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Pentaho Business Analytics Server before 9.3.0.7 or 10.1.0.0 allows remote attackers to inject content via a malicious URL. The public record identifies the Analyzer plugin interface as the rendering locus but does not disclose which URL parameter reaches output or how encoding fails. Exploitation requires a victim to follow the crafted URL; script execution occurs in that user's browser context and can alter rendered content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=1.0 <9.3.0.7
