CVE-2024-2890Network attack vector

Author-level code execution via dangerous OAM upload

Published Mar 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Arbitrary file upload in Tumult Inc. Tumult Hype Animations 1.9.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload executable files. Affected releases parse the OAM upload allowlist from an on-disk file rather than in memory, allowing dangerous archive members to pass validation. Author-level access is required; a successful upload can place a backdoor on the WordPress site and execute code in the web server context.
