Authentication bypass via unbound login username
Published Mar 11, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
SQL injection in Student Information Chatbot a0196ab allows remote attackers to bypass login through a crafted username. The index.php login handler interpolates the username POST value into a SELECT string before preparing it, leaving attacker-controlled SQL syntax executable. No authentication is required; a tautology can establish a session as an existing user, and blind injection can expose or alter database data.
