Unauthenticated file write via absolute path traversal

Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Absolute path traversal in Italtel i-MCS NFV 12.1.0-20211215 allows remote attackers to upload files to arbitrary paths. Public records do not identify the upload endpoint or the path-validation error that accepts an attacker-supplied absolute path. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation writes attacker-controlled files outside the intended upload location.
