Database data disclosure via unprepared popup query
Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in Kreatura LayerSlider 7.9.11 through 7.10.0 allows remote attackers to read database data via crafted popup requests. The ls_get_popup_markup action insufficiently escapes a user-controlled parameter and inserts it into an unprepared SQL query, allowing appended SQL statements. The WordPress AJAX action requires no authentication, and disclosed exploitation extracts sensitive database contents such as password hashes.
