Credential disclosure via embedded Web UI JavaScript
Published Feb 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in IBM Controller 11.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's Web UI session. The same issue affects IBM Cognos Controller 11.0.0 through 11.0.1 FP3; IBM identifies embedded arbitrary JavaScript but does not disclose the affected field or neutralization failure. Exploitation requires valid user access and victim interaction; successful execution alters trusted-session interface behavior and exposes credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
