CVE-2024-2877

Sensitive token disclosure via raw header logging

Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Information disclosure in HashiCorp Vault Enterprise 1.15.0 through 1.15.7 allows local users to read Vault tokens from audit logs. On performance standby nodes, the audit event logger writes raw HTTP request headers instead of excluding or HMAC-protecting them. Exploitation requires both a configured audit device and access to the standby node's audit log; exposed tokens permit further Vault cluster access.
