Authenticated command injection via file deletion function
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
OS command injection in ifm Smart PLC AC14xx and AC4xxS firmware 4.3.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The file-deletion function passes attacker-controlled input into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. High-privilege access to the network interface is required, and successful exploitation permits arbitrary command execution on the controller.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
