Administrator account takeover via ineffective login lockout

Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 22, 2024

Authentication rate-limit bypass in D-Link DWR-2000M firmware 1.34ME allows remote attackers to continue password guessing after a block. The administrator login interface announces a temporary block after three failed attempts but continues processing later authentication requests.
