CVE-2024-28728Public exploit

Browser script execution via stored SSID injection

Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 13, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in D-Link DWR-2000M firmware 1.34ME allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. The WiFi SSID name field accepts an HTML event-handler payload without validation, and the router homepage later renders the stored value as executable markup. The published proof of concept requires access to the CPE configuration interface and a later administrator visit; successful execution exposes browser-accessible sensitive data.
